Regenerative and Organic Land Stewardship
We are family! At Prairiesun Organic Farm, we believe healthy land grows healthy food. Nestled between the Vermillion River and Missouri River in South Dakota, we're proud to be Regenerative Organic Certified - farming in a way that rebuilds soil, sequesters carbon, and honors the land for generations to come. Our pasture-raised chickens and laying hens roam freely on living ground, producing meat and eggs the way nature intended. We also grow nutrient-dense organic aronia berries and premium organic alfalfa grass hay using practices that prioritize biodiversity and ecosystem health. Every purchase supports a farm deeply committed to soil stewardship, animal welfare, and a more resilient food future. Glenn and Angela Pulse, Vermillion, SD, USA.

Harvest Days
Harvest time at Prairiesun Organics was always a family affair. This video was taken in 2014 just one month before Grandpa Ed Sasse passed away. This is a sweet tribute to Angela’s dad who was so helpful on the farm. We miss him so much!
Prairiesun Organic Farm was started in 2010 as a gift from Angela’s father. His mother, Verla Sasse, passed away in 2010 and she left Ed her family farm in Nobles County, MN. Ed sold the family farm and gave a small piece of the inheritance to Angela to keep the legacy going of generations of farming in the Sasse family going back to Germany.
